“The history of contemporary Europe cannot be understood without the Historic Cafés. These premises have served as a breeding ground for the most innovative and successful cultural and political trends and as a vehicle for transmission of these democratic and liberating ideals to the whole society. It is our duty to preserve this heritage and pass it on to future generations, respecting and honouring the past while keeping our eyes on the future.”
